Introduction

The Lehmann Pioneers Digital Group (LPDG) is acutely aware of its special responsibility to people and the environment. This guideline on sustainable procurement establishes a binding framework that integrates ecological, social, and economic considerations into our procurement decisions.

Scope of application

This policy applies to the entire LPDG at all locations and activities of our company, including all employees, contractors and suppliers.

Qualitative targets

Environmental Aspects:

We favour products with recognised environmental certifications (e.g. Energy Star, TCO, Blue Angel).

We favour suppliers with a proven environmental management system (ISO 14001).

We promote circular economy approaches.



Social aspects:

We prefer suppliers who comply with the ILO core labour standards.

We expect our suppliers to provide fair working conditions throughout the supply chain.

We actively promote diversity in supplier selection.



Economic aspects:

We consider the life cycle costs of our products and services.

We partner with sustainable suppliers on a long-term basis.

Transparent pricing.



Quantitative targets

By 2026, we will have achieved the following environmental targets:

It is a requirement that 80% of IT hardware is certified to at least Energy Star 8.0 standards.

There must be a reduction of energy consumption by 25% compared to 2023.

80% recyclable packaging.


Profitability targets:

Cost savings of 10% through efficient procurement processes.

Reduction of total operating costs by 10% through sustainable products.



Responsibilities and review

Management is responsible for the implementation of this policy. All employees are obliged to support the objectives of this policy. The policy is regularly updated by management and any changes are communicated to the affected parties. It is important that they take the time to understand the latest version of the policy and contact Procurement Management with any questions or feedback.

Continuous improvement

We are committed to continuously improving our Sustainable Procurement Policy Standards by regularly reviewing and adapting our measures. Best practices and tools are identified by Procurement Management that the company can utilise to achieve its commitments and goals.

Entry into force

This Sustainable Procurement Policy Standards comes into force on 1 October 2024.
